Bill Davis

Biography

Bill was raised in a show business family. The only son of a Vaudeville Entertainer/Entrepreneur and an Actress/Singer/Showgirl from Earl Carroll's Vanities, Bill has grown up both in and around the motion picture and television industries, visiting and playing golf as a child with the likes of Bob Hope, James Garner, Steve McQueen to name a few.

After returning from service in Vietnam where he saw combat action on Riverine Patrol Boats and was decorated for meritorious service, Bill became a police officer, where he was decorated for exceptional service and awarded the Medal of Valor after being wounded during one of three gunfights with multiple armed assailants.

During his 21 years as a police officer, Bill was assigned to every type of law enforcement duties including Uniformed Patrol, Narcotics Enforcement, Homicide Investigation and various interagency SWAT teams. His greatest achievement was being assigned to his agency's Dignitary Protection Command.

Bill's heart was always with the movie business where he frequently worked gigs as a police technical advisor, weapons specialist and even as an extra, just to keep his hand in “the business” while still working as a policeman.

After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern California , Bill retired as a sergeant in 1991 from injuries received while on duty, and began devoting all his energies to re-entering the entertainment industry. Laboring day and night to learn the crafts of Property Master and Weapons Specialist, Bill has gone on to work on over 150 feature films and television programs.

Today, Bill continues as a property master, licensed weapons specialist and technical advisor but has begun producing film projects as well.
