If lower budget, independent films and theatrical projects are to survive, we must band together. Independent films make up the vast majority of film projects being produced and yet, the "Big Boys" look down on us as if we don't matter or our product is inferior.

AMPTP Independent has absolutely no affiliation with the other AMPTP. Our goal is to assemble every independent producer out there in an effort to 'pool our resources' which will make film and theatrical production far easier and at lower costs, while turning out a fabulous product.

We all need to join forces to keep independent films alive. By forming this association, we can all be a part of an organization that is dedicated solely to actually producing the films we desire. It's not about contracts, interest rates, unions or any other crap that drains the budgets of all projects.

We come together. Creative, craft, technical, all facets of independent production and post production and even distribution. For the first time, the independent producer will not be alone. They will be backed by an organization of 'like minded' people who have equipment, connections and influence to assist their brothers and sisters.

So, come on all you producers and wannabe producers, let's finally get our acts together, literally!
